The "Associação Folclórica Germânica do Médio Vale do Itajaí - AFG", was established in 1993 with the aim of promoting integration between groups in the region of Blumenau-SC. Now it has a key role in folkloric acting in a unified manner in the various events in the city and region. It is considered one of the most organized regional affiliate of the "Casa da Juventude" in Gramado-RS.
